We WON! Kathy G. & Company Wins a 2010 Catie Award!

The 2010 ICA Catie Awards were announced last night at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas and Kathy G. & Company won for Best Hors D’oeuvre! Our Breakfast in a Bite: Green Eggs ‘n Ham recipe won the prestigious award from hundreds of entries submitted from caterers and chefs around the globe. We are so excited for Kathy and chef Anna Hallman who were on hand in Las Vegas to accept the award! The dish was developed for a menu for Birmingham’s Slow Food Convivum and featured locally grown or produced items including McEwen & Sons famous organic grits.  We’ll post the recipe and photos from the awards ceremony as soon as Kathy returns from Las Vegas! Kathy G. & Company Scores Two Allie Nominations

Newsflash! In addition to our recent Catie win, we just got word that we are also nominated for two Allie Awards from the Atlanta chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES). We were nominated for Best Floral Design and Best Plated Menu for the University of Alabama President’s Cabinet Spring Flower Power Dinner which included a unique salad with edible flowers.
