Our head designer Andy Hopper tells us that over the last several months, brooch bouquets have been taking the place of traditional floral bridal bouquets in big cities such as New York and Los Angeles. And when Miranda Lambert carried her gorgeous brooch bouquet down the aisle upon marrying Blake Shelton in “Country Music’s Royal Wedding” this past May, the super-chic twist on bouquets hit the radar of Alabama brides. Your bridal bouquet says as much about you as does your ceremony and setting. At KG Designs, we can create a super-chic brooch bouquet that’ll really WOW your friends and family! Andy Hopper of KG Designs did it again! And again! And again! Last week, Alabama Weddings Magazine came calling and the KG Designs team led by Andy Hopper came through with gorgeous designs for THREE unique photo shoots to be included in the 2012 edition of Alabama Weddings! Two of the three shoots were “rehearsal dinners” taking place at Park Lane. The first was a “masculine” design with deep colors and heavy woods in a bar setting while the second scene had a posh “Zen-to-go” look utilizing sofas along with other chic décor elements. The third photo shoot was of a sophisticated “Garden Bridesmaid Lunch” that took place outdoors at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Kathy G & Company wishes to thank to the entire KG Designs Team, Alabama Weddings Magazine, and the extremely talented wedding photographer, Marsha Perry.
Kathy G recently taped TWO cooking demonstration segments for NBC 13’s morning show, Alabama Today. Both demos were geared towards home entertaining during the upcoming football season. One segment had Kathy preparing exciting Panini recipes for quick and delicious hot sandwiches during the big game. While the second demonstration had Kathy sharing step-by-step instructions on how to make delicious Cake Pops. Airdates for each of these segments are still TBD, though you can be sure that we’ll post info on our facebook page as soon as we have any. August 19th, was a very special evening at Park Lane as John Carroll High School’s Class of 1961 held its 50th Class Reunion. Almost 150 guests, including our own Kathy G herself, mingled and reminisced while enjoying a delicious menu that included a Roast Beef Carving Station, Mini BLT’s, Almond-Crusted Chicken and summery sweet Watermelon-Tomato Salad. Park Lane is truly the perfect event for high school reunions as its wide-open space and tremendous bar area are wonderful for mingling and catching up on the good ol’ days. If you have a reunion coming up, please have your class representative call (205) 942-4210 and speak with a Kathy G event planner about securing Birmingham’s best reunion venue, Park Lane, for your former classmates to enjoy!

Kathy G & Company was so proud to host Laura and Chris’ BIG DAY on August 13 at Park Lane.
