We’re so excited to be a part of their big day along with special guest, Rosie Pope, from Bravo's hit show Pregnant in Heels. On Tuesday, October 4, Birmingham’s best and brightest wedding planners gathered for a festive fall luncheon. It was a wonderful opportunity to share with them all the great ideas and events we have coming up – plus show show-off the recently revamped Donnelly House (Kathy G’s newest exclusive venue) Special thanks to Kathy G & Company friends, Martie Duncan of Bromberg’s, Apex Valet, Arden Ward of Arden Photography, and Watercolor Resort for hosting along with us. We hope that all the wedding professionals in attendance had as much fun as we did and look forward to hosting many more extraordinary events at The Donnelly House as we move into 2012! Kathy G is one of the most prominent female business owners in all of Alabama and she’s also the state’s preeminent authority when it comes to hosting social events of all sizes. For these reasons, Kathy was invited to host not one, but two seminars on the “Art of Entertaining” at the Southern women’s Show on October 8th and 9th. It was an exciting weekend, jam-packed with incredible shopping, runway fashion shows, make-up tips, jewelry, and of course fantastic speakers. We’re so proud to have been part of this wonderful event and look forward to doing it all again next year!!!
We’re honored each and every time and bride and groom selects Kathy G & Company to cater their wedding. This is the most important day of their lives and knowing that they trust our team to make it special means so very much to us. Though when a wedding pro – who knows everything there is to know about successful weddings - selects us for his big day it means even more. Local wedding videographer extraordinaire, Lance Holloway, and his gorgeous bride, Alicia, were married on Friday, October 15, with a reception at WorkPlay and we were honored to cater the occasion. We recognize that Lance and Alicia could’ve chosen any caterer in town for their special day and truly appreciate them selecting our team. Congratulations to the newly minted Holloways; May you live happily ever after.
On Sunday night, October 16, the Kathy G team cooked up some hors d’oeuvres for a truly wonderful cause. Our friends at Belk at the Summit held their 6th annual “Private Shopping Night.” For just $25, guests received 20% off almost everything in the store, enjoyed live entertainment and nibbled on delicious Kathy G favorites. Best of all, proceeds from tickets sales went to a group that’s very near and dear to the KG team: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. Thanks to the great team at Belk and Kathy G coordinator, Natalie Pilato-Andrews, for pulling off such an exceptional event!!
Kathy G was extremely proud to be a sponsor of the 2nd Annual “Gus Mayer Goes Pink” event on October 25. The KG team served up Herb-Crusted Roast Chicken over Fava Bean Pesto on Crostinis, Belgium Endive with Whipped Bleu Cheese and Candied Walnuts, and Thai flank Steak Phyllo Tarts, but the real story was the fashion! With gorgeous models walking the runway in special guest designer, Christian Siriano’s, upcoming line, Birmingham felt a little like Paris – if only for a few hours. It was truly a magical night for all with ticket sales benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama! What a special event - One we hope to be part of again in 2012.

She may not have her own show like Guy Fieri or Rachel Ray, but local TV programs are finding that Kathy G is every bit as entertaining as those two national stars. On Friday, October 21st, ABC 33/40’s Talk of Alabama again invited Kathy on the program for a “festive fall cooking demonstration.” Viewers across the state were treated to one of Kathy’s more creative ideas: Paella in a Pumpkin! Not only did ABC 33/40 post the video from this appearance(see link below), but this fun and playful way of presenting paella is also our recipe of the month! To see Kathy G on TV, lease click here.
On Friday, October 28, Park Lane by Kathy G once again hosted the Arthritis Foundation’s super-popular annual event, the Bone Bash!
