Kathy’s passion for food and entertaining began at an early age. While at Spring Hill College, in Mobile, Kathy was always in the middle of campus social activities. After college, she moved to Atlanta to work in television where she planned events for national and international network celebrities. All of this experience ultimately led to her success as Alabama’s most popular caterer, wedding and event designer.
Kathy has served on the Board of Directors of the International Caterers Association. She is also a member of the International Special Events Society and the company has won industry awards from both associations. Her work has been featured in numerous magazines such as Special Events, Catering Magazine, Birmingham Magazine, Southern Living, Southern Accents, Portico, Alabama Weddings and many more. Kathy is a regular on local television where she shares her culinary and entertaining expertise. |

My name is Anna Hallman and I am the Sous chef for Kathy G & Company in Birmingham, AL. In college, my plan was to obtain a degree in dietetics. I have always had a passion for food and entertaining and knew that I had to work this into my career somehow. While in college, a new culinary school was built in Birmingham which I helped get off the ground. While working there, my eyes were opened to the amazing possibilities in the culinary field. I quickly enrolled in culinary school. After culinary school, I joined Kathy’s team for an externship and the rest is history. Since being at Kathy G, I have become involved in the ICA and had the opportunity to work with many of the ICA chefs in various capacities that I otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do in Birmingham. The ICA has been an invaluable resource for networking and fresh ideas. Each year I look forward to the conferences because I always leave an ICA event with a spring in my step and a new surge of energy that I am ready to bring back and share with my company.

Andy's passion for decor, floral and design began very early in life; he was designing tablescapes at age four! His love of art and design led him to the University of Montevallo where he took design classes and at the age of thirty, Andy received his national design certification from the American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD), an honor bestowed on only 1,400 people in the world and his creations are often found within the pages of numerous magazines, newspapers, and trade journals. From designing for celebrities to winning floats in the Rose Parade, Andy has won recognition for his work on a national and local level.
